"And which are the four factors of stream-entry with which he is endowed?
"There is the case where the disciple of the noble ones is endowed with perfect confidence in the Buddha ... perfect confidence in the Dhamma... perfect confidence in the Sangha... He is endowed with virtues that are appealing to the noble ones: unbroken, unbroken, unspotted, unsplattered, liberating, praised by the wise, untarnished, leading to concentration."

Katamehi catūhi sotāpattiyaṅgehi samannāgato hoti:
Katamehi catūhi sotāpatti-yaṅgehi (inst. pl.)= the four factors of stream entry
samannāgato hoti:= is endowed
Idha gahapati ariyasāvako buddhe aveccappasādena samannāgato hoti: (…) Dhamme aveccappasādena samannāgato hoti: (...)Saṅghe aveccappasādena samannāgato hoti: '(...)
ariyasāvako = a disciple of the noble ones
buddhe (loc. sg.) avecca-ppasādena (inst. sg.) = with perfect confidence in the Buddha
Ariyakantehi sīlehi samannāgato hoti, akhaṇḍehi acchiddehi asabalehi akammāsehi bhujissehi viññūppasatthehi aparāmaṭṭhehi samādhisaṃvattanikehi
Ariya-kantehi sīlehi (inst. pl.) = with the virtues loved by the Noble ones
akhaṇḍehi acchiddehi asabalehi akammāsehi bhujissehi viññūppasatthehi aparāmaṭṭhehi samādhis-aṃvattanikehi = uunbroken, without defect, unspotted, unblemished, liberating, praised by the wise, incorrupt, leading to concentration."
